How easy, so easy...
Besides entering a blog on the web site; which can be a tricky matter with the potential loss of your work if the connection goes down before you finish, and a litany of other problems; there is a way to write your article offline and publish them to BayCoPort at your leisure.
Microsoft has recently released a utility called Windows Live Writer that allows you to enter and edit text and pictures just like you would in Microsoft Word. It has full spell checking, allows you to insert pictures and resize them, insert and customize links into your text, and a few more goodies. Once the document is complete you can post this to BayCoPort.com for Bay County and the rest of the world to see.
First you will need to let us know that you would like to maintain a blog with us: Either email here or send an internal private message here for authentication. We will send back notice to you once your account is updated.
Next you will need to download and install Windows Live Writer. You can get it here. After download and install is complete you will need to setup Live Writer to publish to BayCoPort by following these steps:
Setting up Live Writer:
First, choose "I already have a weblog set up"
Second, Choose "Another weblog"

Third, Enter http://www.baycoport.com/metapost.ashx for the "Weblog Homepage URL" and then your user name and password for BayCoPort.com.
Next from the drop down menu select "Metaweblog API" then enter http://www.baycoport.com/metapost.ashx for Remote posting for your weblog
Select Yes
And Your are finished!
Now you simply load Windows Live Writer, do the keyboard thing, hit publish, and your article will appear on the site. You can update as you see fit later.
